I was so unsure going down the electronic book route. Like most people, I was used to the feel of books, the turning of pages, thumb marking pages, the smell of a book. I took some time reviewing the electronic book options and eventually decided on Amazon Kindle. Primarily for the large number of books available adn the option of Newspapers (whilst on holiday) and magazines. I couldn’t have made a better choice. I chose the 6″ as I knew I would be using it whilst in transit, onboard aeroplanes, buses, trains. Not so much in cars as it tends to limit conversation. It took sometime for me to get used to the feel of an electronic gadget but now I have no qualms. Whenever I had a problem booting or loading a book or even marking passages (such as a highlighter pen does), and I’m only talking about 1 or 2 “getting used to” problems, the response from Amazon Support was prompt and first class (even with the difference in times of countries). I can highly recommend it for travellers, secluded holidays or even just home reading. I don’t think I will reach the 1,500 book storage that the 6″ Kindle will hold. Looking forward to how the European Kindle operating system will develop in regards to web browsing.

Although the book and the author have been lionized over the years, unfortunately the book does not bear up well under the pressure of years. The numerous apologetic tics of Holden, such as the use of “old” as a term of affection for anyone and everyone, wears and grates, eventually ruining this reader’s nostalgic memory of the book as read in an earlier time. The swearing gets in the way, too. No, the book should not be banned, but it would definitely have benefited from extensive editing. Holden is obviously a candidate for analysis.

As I am seeking spirituality, I found this to be a most inspiring and informative read. Even though everyone will discover their own interpretation of God’s words, I believe the results will be positive. I ordered Conversations with God, book 2 before finishing book 1.

How do you start a review about something that changed you? Changed your perspective of life and set you free. I was not introduced to this book by anyone. Well, except for God. The title itself stood out because on that particular day, I was fasting and I felt connected with God, more than I have ever been connected in my life. I was centered and I was at peace. I was directed to this book with no lie. I told God that I wanted to get closer to him and that I wanted to understand him more. I was currently going to a Christian church, though I didnt consider myself a Christian or any religion for that matter. All I knew was that I believed in God and that religion was so limited. So if you are religious, this book is not for you because it is going to knock things your religion may teach.
As soon as I opened up the book, I was attached. I did not want to put the book down! Its like every question I had about life and about God and about all of the mysteries were answered. The only reason why I took the information in was because it felt right. And bottom line thats what matters. If it suits you it is you. All of the questions I had that had to deal with religion and why God is to feared or Why do we have all of these rules were answered. The reason why I was not a Christian was because a big thing they promote is Fear God. But when I was saved, when I was shown the light,when God basically lifted me up, I thought to myself ” Why in the world would I want to fear something so beautiful?” It just didnt suit me. So this book set me free from all of those Christian scriptures. But it opened me up to other religions that held truth. Basically, there is not one right religion, every religion holds truth to it but not 100%. And this is something I thought, so it suited me.
I love this book with all my heart because it lead to me setting myself free. Not caring what people thinks, Its my life it never ends I am a soul before I am this Human.There is no such thing as time on

I bought this not knowing if I would enjoy it, but once I started reading I couldn’t put it down! When I reached the end I was a little disappointed–it ends kind-of abruptly. I would have liked to have seen an epilogue or something to let you know what happens to the characters after the story ends. We get a little bit of information, but I wanted more! SPOILER ALERT! What happens with Skeeter’s mother? Was Abileen a success at the paper? How did Skeeter like NY? What is Minny’s life like after leaving Leroy and did she continue working for Celia? How far did Hilly really sink in her own pitiful life? Did Mae Mobley grow up to be a kind, loving girl or does she follow in Elizabeth’s footsteps?
Maybe another book about these characters Ms. Stockett…?

Omg, what can i say apple has done it again. It came back with the best ipod touch yet!!! I’ve had this iPod for almost 3 months and is amazing i dont regret my choice of going pro touch.(especialy tht i got the 64gb version, so much space) It will take me like a decade to fill the whole 64gb , i have like 45 full length movies and plenty of tv shows on my ipod and ive still got almost 42gb left to fill. But if i said that aplle will let you use the full 64gb id be lying, they take almost 5 gb for software ( i dont care, thats still 59gb)

Like i said you’d be a fool not to buy this, and its even more affordable than any other ipod touch before it =)

Go ahead treat yourself and splurge a bit for the 64gb its worth it in the long run.
