This is truly a polarizing book. When you read it, you will either love it, or hate it. I have yet to meet anyone on middle grounds with it. A friend and I actually avoid talking about it because we disagree so much about it.

I enjoyed the book for the first chapter or so before repetition of the line “[x] depressed me” began to annoy me to no end. I simply could not like Holden, and this is not a book where you can dislike the main character but still enjoy the story.

Having read it for an assignment and then having to write an essay, I do appreciate the meaning behind the book. I appreciate and understand how we hate the characteristics in others that most reflect upon ourselves and how desperately one holds on to childhood. I simply could not enjoy the story as much as I liked the meaning behind it.

I have wnated a Wii for a while. Finally, at some friends house, my husband and I played, and we had so much fun. I was able to talk him into getting one at last. We have really enjoyed playing playing the games, and we play when ever we have a chance.

As the title says, “I love my Kindle”. It’s a great piece of equipment, and I use it for everything. I bought it November 09 while in Afghanistan on deployment. I couldn’t use the wireless there, cause they don’t have that there, but downloading through the computer is just as quick. I have the DX, and it’s still light enough and small enough to fit in a carry on for the flight home. I love the way it reads, and being a member of the Army Band field, and professional musician, I use it to carry pdf’s of my music, and the Army Study Guide. I got the DX cause it takes unconverted pdf, and the larger screen. If you’re an avid reader, and looking for a way to read even more, this is it.

One of the things that I like about my DX is that it’s not a backlit screen. Without that light I can read longer without my eyes getting tired. I would say I’ve spent as much, if not more, on books since buying my DX, as I did for the years previous.

Since getting home from deployment, I have used the wireless, and it works great. I really enjoy the ease of purchasing.
