Raw 180mm Paris Black OK?

I find this VERY easy to use and clean. I like that it keeps the water heated and has rotating brushes that get all around the carpet fibers. I have used it monthly to clean a carpet used by 2 Golden Retrievers, my husband (who never takes his shoes off until bedtime) and myself. It is getting the old worn areas clean. The machine is easy to operate and it’s very easy to see when the water is going down and the dirty water tank is about ready to come out. It notifies you by changing the suction and raising a yellow ball on the dirty water tank that it’s ready to get dumped. See through tanks make it easy to see how much dirt you are lifting out of your carpet. Suction is good and leaves carpet only slightly damp.

Neuf Au Paris Pont watch out

We listened to this on a road trip out west and I loved it! The story itself was a great leave from my everyday, but the voices were fantastic! I loved hearing cantankerous 90 (or 93..) year old Jakob tell his tale. If you enjoyed reading this book, I’m sure you will love it more hearing the tale from the two Jakobs. If you haven’t read the book, there is a good chance you will be drawn in by the storytellers and end up loving it. We sat in the car after we arrived home for the last 10 minutes of the book we were so enthralled.

Get this and listen to it!

About in Poodle Paris Pink

I’ve only had my iPod Touch for a few days, but I went right to work testing it :)

What’s in the box:
iPod Touch, of course.
USB cable/charger (requires adapters for wall or car charging)
earbuds
some paperwork that can hardly be called an instruction manual
dock adapter (no use to me, I don’t have a dock)

First thing to do is charge your iPod, which you can do with an AC wall outlet if you’ve bought the accessory kit that is recommended alongside this product. http://www.amazon.com/Charger-Silicone-Reusable-Protector-Generation/dp/B001JP8T9Y/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1282110968&sr=8-2 But you might as well connect it to your computer because you’ll want to download the latest software (iOS 4) from Apple and sync it up with your music, photos, etc. The iOS 4 is free and it is a major improvement regarding the organization of your apps/utilities and playlists. It might also be a good idea to set up password protection (under settings) so if someone grabs your iPod, they can’t do too much damage with your email or shopping or whatever. Then personalize it however you like!

The engineering that has gone into this little machine is amazing. The screen is gorgeous, with vibrant colors, and it is big enough to see what you’re doing and small enough that the unit is still very portable. Really, the size is perfect. The basic capabilities of multi-touch are very intuitive and the rest you already know if you’ve ever watched a commercial for iPod touch. Tilt, rotate, pinch (in/out), touch and hold, touch and drag, that sort of thing. Even my 6 year old can do it.

The sound quality without the stereo headphones is so-so, but I wasn’t even expecting to hear anything without headphones. It does have a built-in speaker. But the headphones improve the sound a hundred fold. There’s even an equalizer where you can specify what type of music you’re listening to and the iPod adjusts accordingly. There is no microphone capability, but for me that is not a

It kept breaking belts. The authorized Hoover repair store said nothing was wrong. I finally got someone at Hoover to tell me to cut off the cord and send it in and they would send me a new vacuum. The new one has worked perfectly. Apparently the shaft holding the belt was bent at the factory.

Kathryn Stockett’s The Help has a simple but intriguing message: relationships are complicated. Specifically, she seems to want to explain that the relationships between white employers and black maids in Jackson, Mississippi during the start of the Civil Rights era were much more complicated than they might seem to an outsider. This is sure to be the case and an insider view of the complex dynamics of this relationship would have been a insightful and thought-provoking novel. However, what was delivered fell far short of that goal. What ends up being “compelling and revelatory” about Stockett’s book is the idea that – gasp! – black maids have opinions on their white employers! Some of them hate their employers and some don’t! The potentially powerful exploration of the issue becomes diluted to the point of meaninglessness by the subservience of character development to plot development. Stockett knew what she wanted to happen in the book and by golly, it was going to happen, even if it meant that she created stereotypes instead of fully-fleshed out characters. If she were Tom Clancy trying to create an action-packed exploration of strategic submarine movements during the Cold War, this sin would have been forgivable. However, in a character-driven novel, one that claims to focus on the inner feelings, motivations, thoughts, and desires of the people, the failure to create believable characters ruins the effort.

One of the ways that Stockett makes caricature rather than believable people is through the oft-criticized use of dialect for some of the characters but not for others. Part of the reason to use dialect at all is to allow the reader to `hear’ the character speaking, to make the story feel more like the tradition of oral storytelling. This is commendable. And certainly, the use of dialect has been used in the past by other authors to various effect: Zora Neale Hurston, Alice Walker, Mark Twain, Toni Morrison. These authors all either had intimate knowledge
