Syndrome Light Black run out
If you LIKE instrumental virtuosity of the highest order, but only LOVE it when it serves stellar compositions (in this case improvisations); comes straight from the soul; never asserts itself by compromising musicality; carries strong character; defies conventions; and is used to paint vivid pictures, create deep moods and stir emotions that no other group of musicians is likely to replicate, then Black Light Syndrome is your destiny (assuming you deserve it).
In fact, each track here consists of a sublime voyage of beautiful images, thoughts and feelings that should have music lovers of various biases and degrees of obsession queuing up for another ride, again and again and …. If you read the sleeve you probably won’t believe your eyes that the track length ranges from 7:25 to 14.37min (10 min on average). So compelling are the majesty and gradually revealing intricacies and treasures of this free-form masterpiece. Such is its lack of filler or senseless flash.
Mind you, the above is achieved while meeting (though by far exceeding) the criteria of “musicians’ music” with masterful technique and meter alterations, mad toning, and highly complex (yet delicious) melodies and rhythms.
It is an understatement to say that the coherent interplay and interactive tension betray the fact that BLS was spontaneously composed/improvised (with “unconditional acceptance of all members’ ideas”) in four days before which the trio had never played together. You may call it chemistry, but magic is a better word. Given that Bozzio and Levin are among THE most distinguished players of their respective instruments, and considering their countless projects and sessions, you may think you have an idea what to expect. Don’t kid yourself.
By Bozzio’s own admission, BLS was his first real opportunity to release Bozzio the artist, as distinct from Bozzio the drummer. Indeed, he manages to convince that the former may well be even more significant than the latter.

The Catcher in the Rye was a hard to put down book. I loved the conversational style of writing, “and all” (a phrase often used by Salinger). I had to close my mind to some of the language. Although the choice of words may have been fitting to capture the essence of the main unstable character represented in the book, “and all”.
Glad I read the book and would recommend it to others.
I was delighted with the speed in which I received the book, as well as the condition of the book.

We love this scale. Our previous digital bathroom scale could never settle on a weight. Any slight shift in body posture could make your weight change by a few pounds. In contrast, this scale quickly settles on a weight and sticks to its opinion. You can get off the scale, let it shut off, then climb back on and get the same weight. We also like that it weighs to the nearest 0.2 pounds, although that’s probably more accuracy than anyone really needs. The scale has a really nice, elegant design. The smooth surface is easy to clean.

This is the most energetic and heavy of Tyr’s albums so far. They still do the folk songs and the traditional melodies, but they went in a much more Metal direction with this one. “Hold the Heathen Hammer High” and the title track are destined to become classics. Tracks 5, 6, and 7, are also memorable for the vocal harmonies, raw power, and just plain fun, respectively. Keep your eye on these guys!

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer is an enjoyable fantasy book that I would recommend to kids of all ages. The story opens in the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City. Artemis Fowl and his servant, Butler, are meeting a man who has promised to introduce them to a fairy. After meeting a weak fairy who has been drained of magic by rice wine, they trick her into sharing her secret fairy book with them in exchange for saving her life. The book, which contains all the rules and secrets of the world’s fairies, is photographed by Artemis and e-mailed to his server for safe keeping. Meanwhile, Captain Holly Short, a LEPrecon (Lower Elements Policeman) enters a pod in the fairy city near the center of the earth that will shoot her out of a vent to fight a troll who has escaped to the earth’s surface. Little does she know that soon after that she will be kidnapped by Artemis Fowl!
Artemis Fowl is a character with a plan. He is a driven, wealthy twelve year old who wants to steal fairy gold. In the beginning of the book he is described as an extremely pale young man who seems to have no friends except his servant, Butler. He is a bright, tech genius who is not in school because his mother is loosing her mind. My favorite part of the book was reading about how he is training himself to become a criminal mastermind. Right before he meets with Commander Root to negotiate for Fowl’s fairy hostage, he prepares for the interaction by concentrating on how he will act. “Artemis put on his best sinister face. Evil, he told himself, evil but highly intelligent. And determined, don’t forget determined. He put a hand on the doorknob. Steady now. Deep breaths, and try not to think about the possibility that you have misjudged this situation and you are about to be shot dead.” (Colfer 213)
The underground fairy world in Artemis Fowl is an incredibly imaginative creation. Although we are told a limited amount about the underground city, we are thrown into a fantastic description of Captain

Light Bike Monkey Light watch out
Dan Goldwater and team have put a lot of love into these lights! They are rugged, very bright on the lowest setting, and you will get attention, the kids love it! I’ve found at least two units per wheel gives the best effect with a speed of 10 mph+. The patterns somewhat sync but takes some monkeying around with the programming. I’m looking forward to showing these off at the next Critical Mass in Chicago!

***SPOILER ALERT***
Put this novel on the FUN READ shelf. Definitely nothing mind-blowing in terms of plot or prose but a very entertaining look at depression era circus life.
The author alternates (for the most part) chapters between Jacob’s life during the depression and his life as a 90 year old in a nursing home. One gets the sense that the author seeks to evoke some sympathy for the 90 year Jacob’s plight. In this endeavor she fails as she never fully fleshes out his relationship with his children. Thus the reader is left feeling slightly apathetic as to his plight as a lonely and ornery old man wasting away in a assisted living facility.
Finally, the ending is a bit contrived and convenient. The frail old Jacob making a break for it out of the retirement home and going to the circus event that is in town. There of course he meets and befriends one of the circus directors who spirits him away on their cross country tour. Happily ever blah blah blah.
All of this is not to discourage someone from reading this novel. The author can write with rhythm and keeps the pacing light and quick. Viewing the novel as a love story, the author is adept at capturing the dual emotional nature of love with phrases like: “exhausted and recharged, desperate and fulfilled.” With a good writer, this book would make a great movie.

Bought this largely on the positive reviews on Amazon. It’s a great looking scale that is light weight and doesn’t take up a lot of space. It’s easy to use as well as you just need to step on it and it goes.
However, the scale has just not been that accurate for me. If I step on and off, I’ll get the same reading. But on a day to day basis, it seems to change whether it’s going to read high or low. I’m not talking about my own weight, but the weight of objects that never change.
Take for instance a 30 lb barbell that I have used to test it every morning before I step on. Some mornings that barbell will read 30.4, the next 29.4. Now a barbell shouldn’t be changing on a daily basis, and at most the scale should be off .2-.4 in its reading of an item that small. So I’m really not sure when I step on whether I’m getting a reading that is going to be a couple pounds heavier than it should be, or a couple pounds lighter.
So to sum up my review, if you’re looking to just get a rough estimate of your weight within a 5 pound range, than this will probably do the job. If you’re someone who wants to track themselves on a daily or even weekly basis down to the nearest pound, I don’t know if I’d trust this scale. A lot of reviewers don’t seem to be having this problem though, so maybe I just received a lemon. For me, I’ll probably invest in one of hto

I have a Wii Fit Plus and wanted the same for my older brother. Since he did not have the console yet, I had to find it first. I knew he would never buy one for himself, but he has loved it! His birthday is Feb. 15 and it took almost a month to find it in stock and at the right price.
